Frequently Asked Questions

Master the art of stickman animation with our comprehensive guide.

Is Stick Studio Pro really 100% free?

Absolutely. We built Stick Studio Pro to be the most accessible web-based alternative to tools like Pivot and Stick Nodes. All features—including 4K rendering, multi-actor support, and the full point-rigging system—are available without any subscription or hidden fees.

How does Local Storage saving work?

To ensure maximum privacy, your project data is stored using **IndexedDB and LocalStorage** technology. This means your animations live on your browser's hard drive, not our servers. Warning: If you clear your browser's "Site Data" or "Cache," your saved progress will be lost. We recommend exporting your project files regularly.

What are the best export settings for YouTube?

For professional-grade quality, we recommend exporting at **24 FPS or 30 FPS** in **4K Resolution**. Our engine uses a high-bitrate WebM container which is perfectly optimized for YouTube’s compression algorithm, ensuring your lines remain crisp and your movement stays fluid.

How do I fix "jittery" or "shaky" movement?

Jitter is usually caused by inconsistent spacing between frames. Use our built-in **Onion Skinning** tool to see the "ghost" of your previous frame. Ensure the distance between joints increases gradually (Ease-In) or decreases gradually (Ease-Out) rather than moving in random increments.

Which browsers are supported?

Stick Studio Pro is optimized for the latest versions of **Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave**. While it works on Safari and Firefox, Chromium-based browsers provide the best performance for hardware-accelerated 2D rendering.

Can I import custom sound effects?

Currently, we focus on the visual animation engine. We recommend exporting your silent animation from Stick Studio Pro and using a video editor (like CapCut or Premiere) to layer your SFX and background music for the final polish.
